Hamar

Rolf Jacobsen's town, on Lake Mjøsa

A small railway and cathedral town on the shore of Norway's largest lake, Mjøsa. Home for most of his life to Rolf Jacobsen (1907–1994), the pioneer of Norwegian modernist poetry — who found the whole century, its trains and rain and green growth between the houses, in these few streets. This entry exists mainly to walk his audio tour.
